Mario Krka graduated from Zagreb Faculty of Law in 2004, and obtained his Master of Law and Business degree, on a competition law topic, from Bucerius Law School and Otto Beisheim School of Management in 2011. A partner and the Head of Competition and Antitrust Department at Divjak Topić Bahtijarević Law Firm since 2013, with extensive experience also in M&A and corporate issues, Mario became the firm’s expert for all sophisticated transactions and competition matters.
Mario is regarded as one of the top Croatian lawyers in various competition law areas, with an excellent track record in defence of alleged cartels, abuse of dominance cases, before court and competition authority, including proposals for commitments, as well as merger notifications and various day-to-day competition law advising. In the last couple of years, Mario’s competition engagements include some of the most exciting proceedings and rulings in the Croatian antitrust practice so far.
Mario was also a member of the working group on the Croatian act on antitrust damages actions, transposing provisions of the EU Directive 2014/104/EU, has authored and co-authored various articles and national chapters of Croatian parts of several international publications, and is regularly invited as a speaker on Croatian competition conferences and seminars.
